村上龍の小説の "In the Miso Soup" を読んでいます。
アメリカ人の旅行者とされるFrankは怪しい人だと臭わせてきましたが、読むのも嫌になるほどの恐ろしい殺傷を複数の人間に加えました。これだから私は村上龍の小説は好きになれないのでしょう。でも我慢して読みます。

"wherewithal" は見たことのある単語ですが忘れています。辞書を見ます。
